How to Find Your Email Header

Gmail

  1. 1Open the email in Gmail.
  2. 2Click the three-dot menu (⋮) in the top-right corner of the email.
  3. 3Select "Show original".
  4. 4Click "Copy to clipboard" at the top of the page.
  5. 5Paste the copied text into the box above.

Outlook (desktop)

  1. 1Open the email in Outlook.
  2. 2Go to File → Properties.
  3. 3The "Internet headers" box at the bottom contains the raw headers.
  4. 4Select all the text in that box, copy it, and paste it above.

Outlook Web

  1. 1Open the email in Outlook.com.
  2. 2Click the three-dot menu (⋯) at the top of the email.
  3. 3Select "View" → "View message source".
  4. 4Copy the full text that appears and paste it above.

Apple Mail

  1. 1Open the email in Apple Mail.
  2. 2From the menu bar choose View → Message → "All Headers" (or press ⌘⇧H).
  3. 3The full headers will appear at the top of the email.
  4. 4Select all the header text, copy it, and paste it above.

Yahoo Mail

  1. 1Open the email in Yahoo Mail.
  2. 2Click the three-dot menu (⋯) at the top of the email.
  3. 3Select "View Raw Message".
  4. 4Copy everything that appears and paste it above.

Tip: On mobile, use a desktop browser — most mobile email apps don't expose raw headers.
